Finances 101: A toolkit for young adults with cancer
If you’re a young adult with a cancer history, you probably don’t have a huge savings account — and yet, bill collectors and hospitals expect you to pay thousands of dollars (and sometimes much more) for your care. In the best case scenario, you may be able to cover these bills… but then you’re probably struggling to pay your rent or keep up with your health insurance premiums. In the worst case scenario, you may be skipping your appointments altogether because of the cost (not to mention the shame.)
